Discontinued Product Lines

InstallerParts has narrowed its catalog to focus on structured cabling and display mounting. Several lines we carried in the past are no longer stocked. If you followed a link or a bookmark to one of them, this page explains what happened and what we carry instead.

Looking for something specific that isn't listed below? We build custom cable to order, and you're welcome to send us a sourcing request — we can often supply parts that aren't on the site.

Still available: networking

Our core range is unchanged and expanded. Ethernet patch cables run Cat5e through Cat8 in unshielded, shielded, slim, flat, armored and bendable constructions, from 0.5 to 200 ft, with bulk pack pricing. Termination hardware covers keystone jacks, RJ45 modular plugs, couplers and junction boxes, and shielded panel mount jacks. Install hardware is under tools and cable management.

Bulk wire

Discontinued: Cat5e bulk wire, security camera power wire, thermostat cable.

We no longer sell wire by the box. For patch runs, our pre-terminated patch cables cover 0.5 to 200 ft and remove the field termination step entirely. For a length we don't stock, custom cable on demand is usually the faster answer than a box of bulk wire and a crimper.

Racks and rack accessories

Discontinued: wall mount racks, shelves, screws and nuts, rack accessories.

We still stock the panel hardware that goes in a rack: blank rack panels and blank keystone panels, rack support bars, cable ducts and D-rings. The enclosures themselves are no longer part of the range.

Fiber optic

Discontinued: fiber optic jumpers, including 9/125 singlemode duplex LC-LC.

We no longer stock fiber patch cords or media converters. For copper runs at the distances where fiber usually gets specified, Cat6A holds 10 Gbps across a full 100 m channel, and Cat6 S/FTP outdoor cable handles exterior runs.

HDMI, DisplayPort and video

Discontinued: HDMI cables and adapters, HDMI recessed wall plates, DisplayPort to DVI cables, RG59 coax, RCA and component cables, XLR and 3.5 mm audio cables, Neutrik and SpeakOn connectors.

The audio-video line has been retired in full. Our remaining display-related products are the TV and ceiling mounting range — 1.5" NPT pipe mounts, VESA plates, extension pipes and couplers for displays from 13" to 70".

USB, PC cables and PC accessories

Discontinued: USB 2.0 cables and extenders, mini and micro USB, DB9 and DB25 serial cables, null modem cables, SVGA monitor cables, CPU and case fans.

These lines have been retired. One adapter survives from the range: the DB9 female to RJ45 modular adapter, which is still stocked for console and serial-over-Ethernet work.

Connectors and adapters

Discontinued: 1/4", 3.5 mm and 2.5 mm plugs, jacks and adapters, RCA and BNC adapters, D-Sub connectors and gender changers, pin headers, XLR adapters.

The modular side of this range continues: RJ45 plugs in Cat5e through Cat8, RJ45 couplers in inline, right angle and shielded versions, and RJ11 and RJ12 adapters under telephone.

Power cords and power strips

Discontinued: power extension cords, notebook power cords, PC power cords, 5-15P to 5-15R cords, power strips.

The power line has been retired in full and has no current equivalent in our range.
